River Raid
This is one of the best overhead shooters I have seen on any system. The background changes as you move along, and there is a lot of strategy involved, like deciding whether to destroy the fuel tanks for points or fly over them to refuel, avoiding the cliffs along the edges of the river, and dealing with different types of enemies that move at different speeds.
